I am currently looking to recruit an experienced Agricultural / Plant Fitter to join an expanding plant hire business. Based on the Essex / London Border they cater for every aspect of Excavator, Heavy Machinery, Plant and Equipment hire services for domestic, commercial and trade customers across London and the surrounding counties.
As workshop / Plant Fitter you will be responsible for maintaining and servicing a variety of plant equipment including 1.5 to 30t excavators, 3 to 9t Dumpers, Telehandlers and Rollers in addition to a fleet of Scania and Mercedes Commercial and Light Commercial Vehicles.
The position will involve both mechanical and electrical work, so candidates will need experience with both disciplines.
Workshop / Plant Fitter - Key Responsibilities
- Day to day service and maintenance of fleet
- Managing the fleet service schedule as part of the workshop team
- Ensuring plant is inspected prior to delivery and on return
- Site breakdown resolution
Workshop / Plant Fitter - Experience Requirements
- Knowledge and experience in plant repair and maintenance, as listed above
- Ability to diagnose and resolve problems efficiently
- Good communication skills
- Attention to detail in all aspects, administration and practical
- Ability to work on own initiative and together with others
- Welding ability is essential
- Current UK driving license
- Proven ability to hold a long-term position
In return my client are able to offer a salary in the region of 35,000 to 45,000 Dependent on Experience, company vehicle and pension, in addition to ongoing training and development opportunities.
