Are you an experienced senior finance professional from within the construction industry? Are you available at short notice to take up new employment?
Transparent is proactively supporting one of our longstanding clients in the recruitment of a Head of Finance on a temporary to permanent basis. This would therefore require the successful candidate to be immediately available or at a point where your current contract is coming to an end.
Based in the Romford area with 1 day working from home, you would work closely alongside the Finance Director and would oversee the finance team.
Main duties will include:
- Reviewing, creating and producing management reports for presentation to the FD and the Board
- Finance business partnering; working closely with the senior commercial leads to improve the financial performance of the business
- Attending and contributing to Board Meetings and presenting the financial reports and providing commentary
- Supporting with winning tenders and bids, providing margin accounts data for CVR production to include monthly review of CVR reports with the commercial teams
- Working alongside the Commercial Director on projects to work on cost improvement measures
- Reviewing supplier payment terms
- Responsibility for VAT and CIS, ensuring accurate and timely filings
- Other duties as required
The Person:
- Qualified accountant or actively studying final exams
- Experience in the construction industry is essential
- Good experience of cash flow reporting, CVR production and review
- Short availability to commence new employment
