Our client is seeking a proactive Import Operator with a minimum of two years of experience in handling import operator duties within a small to medium-sized freight forwarder.
The ideal candidate should have proficiency with CNS and Destin8, and experience with multi-freight forwarding software is preferred.
Strong communication skills, exceptional attention to detail, and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel are essential for this role.
Responsibilities include liaising with customers and suppliers, managing invoices, monitoring vessel arrivals, and ensuring customer satisfaction post-delivery.

Import Operator

Our client is seeking a proactive Import Operator to join their dynamic team and contribute to our continued success. The ideal candidate will have experience of working within Ocean freight.

Import Operator Requirements:

Demonstrated success with a minimum of two years of experience handling import operator duties in a small to medium-sized freight forwarder
Proficiency with CNS and Destin8; experience with Multi-freight forwarding software is preferred
Exceptional attention to detail
Strong communication skills and a friendly demeanour
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
A collaborative team player with a proactive approach
Excellent English and Mathematics skills

Responsibilities:

Liaising with customers, suppliers, and subcontractors, including shipping lines, hauliers, and depots
Handling internal file creation and invoice generation
Managing supplier invoices and addressing discrepancies when necessary
Monitoring vessel arrivals and coordinating collections and deliveries to meet customer deadlines
Conducting follow-ups post-delivery to ensure customer satisfaction and identify further service opportunities
