If so, Randstad Education is seeking a Cover Supervisor for the Romford location. As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in maintaining continuity of education by supervising classes during the short-term absence of teachers.

Requirements

  • Right to work in the UK - this is essential
  • Must provide 2 proven professional references - this is essential
  • Possess or willing to obtain a DBS Certificate on the update service
  • Previous experience in a classroom, either as a cover supervisor or as a teaching assistant!
  • Excellent classroom management and interpersonal skill, with the ability to engage and motivate students.
  • A positive attitude, flexibility, and a willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced educational environment.

Responsibilities

  • Supervising and managing the classroom in the absence of the classroom teacher.
  • Ensuring all students are on task and completing the prepared activities.
  • Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and ensure children remain on task with their learning activities.
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages pupil participation and engagement.
  • Manage classroom behaviour in line with the school's behaviour policy.
  • Provide feedback to teachers about the progress and behaviour of Children during their lessons.
  • Supporting students who may require additional support.
