Our client is a family run subcontractor who offer painting, decorating, spray plaster and specialist paint floors to the commercial fit and residential markets. Working with big name clients such as Overbury, Parkeray, Mace and The Berkeley Group, their projects range in value from 200K up to 3M.
Established for over 25 years and over the years they have had steady, measured growth with a current turnover of 20M and a very healthy order book for 2025.
A family run business which offers a lively and busy office environment with plenty of banter to work alongside their fast pace company.
Due to an increase in tender enquiries and growth within the company they are now searching for an Estimator to join their commercial team. You will report into the Commercial Manager and join two Senior Surveyors and one other Estimator. You will be required to measure the job using on screen take off and build up the price using a schedule of rates.
Being a family run business, you will need to be able to hold your own and not take yourself too seriously. The owner of the company will often bring in office treats and bacon rolls as this company moves quickly and he likes to keep you motivated. You will have a right laugh at work so this may not be the best role for an Estimator who is a consummate professional. They do have a very low staff turnover so they must be doing something right, finishing early on Fridays and having regular staff get togethers, morale is always high in the office.
Our client is looking for an Estimator who comes from a subcontracting background, ideally within the fit out area of construction. You will need to be able to read construction drawings to see what spec / package is required on each project.
