We are looking for a dedicated Assistant Site Services Officer/Premises Assistant/Caretaker to join our team, ensuring the security and maintenance of the school premises. The successful candidate will liaise daily with the Site Manager/Site Services Officer on caretaking issues and line manage the in-house cleaning team to maintain a clean, tidy, and welcoming learning environment.
Day to Day of the role:- Lock and unlock all school buildings and areas, ensuring the security of the premises.
- Conduct regular security checks and operate alarm systems as required.
- Manage the cleaning team to ensure the school remains a clean and welcoming space.
- Perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks to maintain the internal and external fabric of the school.
- Monitor CCTV or surveillance equipment and respond to alarm call-outs.
- Oversee the collection and disposal of waste.
- Undertake cleaning duties, including emergency cleaning as needed.
- Liaise with contractors and suppliers, ensuring the smooth operation of school facilities.
- Support the Site Service Officer in promoting a positive health and safety culture.
- Experience in a caretaking or facilities role, preferably within an educational setting.
- Good understanding of health and safety regulations.
- Ability to perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a team.
- Good communication skills to liaise with both internal and external contacts.
- Willingness to undertake necessary training, such as Health & Safety and First Aid.
