Role: Head of the Year (Non-Teaching)

Randstad Education is looking for an outstanding, innovative and committed Non-Teaching Head of Year, with a pastoral focus to make a difference by leading a year group as they move through the school supporting students, enabling both attainment and high- quality learning in order to support the school's pastoral care.
This is a full time and a permanent position, starting asap.

Requirements:
- Proven experience in a pastoral or mentoring role within a secondary school setting.
- A relevant qualification in education, youth work, counselling, or social work (Level 3 or above).
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
- Demonstrated ability to manage data for accurate record-keeping, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting purposes.
- A firm but empathetic approach to behaviour management and conflict resolution.
- Proven ability to lead a team effectively and efficiently, while fostering strong collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Skillfully manage and analyse data to inform decision-making, monitor progress, and generate insightful reports.
- Participate in curriculum development and innovation
Responsibilities:
- Drive the academy team towards success through effective leadership, while seamlessly collaborating with other professionals and agencies to achieve shared goals
- Oversee and optimise the work and resources within your area of responsibility, ensuring alignment with the Academy's best interests.
- Cultivate a positive and respectful learning environment within the year group by promoting, and upholding high standards of behaviour and discipline.
- Effectively represent the Academy by organising events and delivering presentations at public engagements, including parent evenings focused on student progress.
- Analyse student data, including academic performance, behaviour, and attendance, and implement strategies to drive improvement.
