We are seeking a qualified Lecturer in Public Services to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in sports education and protective services, ready to start immediately to cover a vacancy.
Day-to-day of the role:- Deliver engaging and informative lessons in BTEC Sport and Public Services.
- Prepare lesson plans and materials based on the curriculum guidelines.
- Assess and evaluate studentsā progress through both formal and informal assessments.
- Participate in and organise residentials and overnight stays to deliver units such as Outdoor Activities.
- Maintain accurate records of studentsā attendance, assessments, and progress.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching methods and curriculum offerings.
- Must be a qualified teacher with one of the following: PGCE, QTS, or Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training.
- Minimum of 2 years teaching experience in BTEC Sport and Public Services.
- Industry experience in Sport.
- Understanding and experience of quality processes in relation to sampling, internal verification, etc.
- IQA qualifications and Assessors Award.
- Experience in organising and managing residentials and overnight educational activities.
- Experience working in a Further Education (FE) College setting.
- Experience working in an educational establishment.
