Teaching Assistant
Location: Romford
Full Time, Long Term
Monday - Friday (08:30AM - 4:00PM)
Rate of Pay: 85 - 95 per day
We are looking for a compassionate and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a Specialist School in Romford on a full time long term basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Classroom Support: Assist the teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
- Individual and Group Support: Provide one-on-one and small group support to students in relation to their needs, helping them to achieve their learning goals.
- Resource Preparation: Help prepare teaching materials and resources.
- Behaviour Management: Support the teacher in managing classroom behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment.
- Student Supervision: Supervise students during breaks, lunchtimes, and other activities.
- Administrative Tasks: Assist with administrative tasks such as record-keeping and organising classroom activities.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Experience: Previous experience working with children with moderate to severe special educational needs in an educational setting is preferred.
- Education: Relevant qualifications in education or childcare are desirable.
- Skills: Strong communication, patience, and organisational skills. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
