Our client, is a Lloyds Motor Underwriter seeking an Underwriting Assistant to join their High Net Worth and Specialist Motor team in their Romford office. This role is ideal for a confident, personable, and ambitious individual with experience dealing with motor insurance policies
Main Duties:
- Proactively develop and maintain relationships with brokers and key stakeholders to drive improved performance and results.
- Manage administrative requirements for the team and assist with day-to-day business operations.
- Underwrite mid-term activity for existing clients and support underwriters with new business enquiries.
- Review and resolve account queries, including aged debt management.
- Issue and manage documentation for broking partners.
- Participate in professional, technical, and career development training (internally and externally).
- Ensure compliance with FCA and all regulatory requirements.
- Assist in training colleagues on systems and processes.
- Support planning and delivery of system testing.
- Contribute to discussions for business improvements.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships.
- Account handling or underwriting experience dealing with motor insurance.
- A proactive and efficient approach to meeting brokers' and clients' high service expectations.
- Attention to detail and the ability to manage administrative tasks accurately.
- Knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements in the insurance industry.
- Previous experience in underwriting
- A proven track record of driving business improvements and results.
- Permanent role.
- Based in Romford.
- Salary: up to £28,000 dependent on experience
