The Mechanical Maintenance Engineer position is with a leading Blue Chip Manufacturing firm located in Basildon, Essex.
This role offers a competitive salary of £58,500 per annum, along with KPI bonuses and overtime pay at 1.5x and 2x rates.
Candidates should have a recognized Engineering Apprenticeship and qualifications such as NVQ, City and Guilds, ONC, or BTEC, along with a strong emphasis on Health & Safety awareness.
The job involves providing plant-wide maintenance services, supporting machine set-ups, and ensuring production targets are met efficiently.

Main Duties & Responsibilities of Mechanical Maintenance Engineer include:

Providing plant-wide maintenance service, departmental support and repairs ensuring that all production targets are maintained - maintaining factory manufacturing machinery
Monitor & supply Engineering support of machine set-up & changeovers to ensure that the product conforms to any quality assurance standards and ensuring changeovers are as efficient as possible.

Experience and Qualifications Required for Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

Recognised Engineering Apprenticeship & Qualification or equivalent, e.g. NVQ, City and Guilds, ONC, BTEC or above - Mechanical or Electrical
High degree of Health & Safety awareness.
Ability to fault find, repair and provide solutions to problems.
