We are recruiting for an Asbestos Technical Manager in the South East. You will need a strong level of industry experience and knowledge, and must have hands-on experience monitoring compliance for a well-established Asbestos organisation. Ideal applicants will have a professional and proactive manner and must be able to demonstrate their success within the industry. Experience / Qualifications:
- You will have proven experience working as a Technical /Quality Manager within a UKAS accredited Asbestos Consultancy
- Will be qualified with one or more P Certifications, such as: P401, P402, P403, P404 and / or P405 (or RSPH equivalent)
- Ideally will hold the CCP / CoCA qualification
- Excellent knowledge of UKAS and HSG guidelines
- Comfortable managing teams of staff
- Strong communication skills
- Professional manner
The Role:
- You will be overseeing the company aadherenceto industry compliance, including UKAS, HSG and ISO standards
- Completing quality assurance checks and audits on works and reports to ensure compliance
- Documenting any raised issues in great detail, as well as action taken
- Implementing improvements to technical standards
- Managing a team of technical / quality staff. Providing support and training
- Ensuring works are carried out to agreed timeframes
- Creating training plans for staff
- Providing logistical and technical support to clients, ensuring to answer any technical issues
- Maintaining strong working relationships with clients and colleagues
- Updating company records and working on internal databases
- Investigating accidents and following up on non-conformities
