Cover Supervisor - providing general cover to Years 7 - 11

Students who are disengaged with education
Strong classroom management required

DESIRABLE ATTRIBUTES - Cover Supervisor

Candidates with prior School based experience
Graduates, Tutors or Mentors who are considering a career in teaching
Strong behaviour management skills
Desire to work with pupils aged 11 - 16
Applicants who can work independently and as part as a team when required and can adhere to the school policies and procedures.
The School would consider offering a long term contract depending upon experience if this employment term would be of preference

JOB DESCRIPTION - Cover Supervisor

Cover supervisors to work in an alternative provision in Romford.
Covering a range of lessons during the school day and be responsible for delivering pre-planned work and maintaining a good level of behaviour within the classroom.
Having a flexible, friendly and proactive manner will enable you to reengage pupils in learning.
Of paramount importance is the ability for you to have a caring and passionate approach and to be focused on giving the students the best possible chance of success.
Students who have not been successful in mainstream school settings and many of whom have been excluded - require patience, understanding, a creative and unique approach to motivate them to suceed in their learning!
