Responsibilities of a Primary PPA Teacher:
- As a Primary PPA Teacher in the UK, your role involves serving as a substitute teacher when others are absent, and to cover teachers during PPA time across all classes and year groups.
- Covering classes across EYFS, KS1 and KS2.
- Deliver high-quality lessons across all year groups (Nursery to Year 6) to cover PPA time for the teaching staff.
- Collaborate with class teachers and senior leaders to ensure effective learning outcomes during PPA cover.
- Support the ongoing development and assessment of students' progress in line with school policies.
Requirements of a Primary PPA teacher:
- Must hold relevant teaching qualification (QTS)
- Need to have brilliant communication and delivery skills adaptable to all age groups
- Have a positive approach to education and training, covering and being around amongst different year groups everyday
- Must present yourself professionally, have good classroom behaviour management skills and a good safeguarding etiquette following all appropriate procedures
