Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging and effective English lessons tailored to diverse student abilities and needs.
  • Assess and evaluate student progress through ongoing assessments and formal examinations.
  • Provide constructive feedback to help students enhance their language skills.
  • Adapt teaching methods and materials to suit individual learning styles.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and improve curriculum materials.
  • Maintain accurate and current records of student attendance, grades, and performance.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and carers, encouraging their active involvement in the educational process.
Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK is required.
  • An enhanced DBS on the update service is essential.
  • A minimum of 3 months of teaching experience in the UK.
  • A proven track record of successful teaching in an 11-16 school.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for English language and literature.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire students to reach their full potential.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Familiarity with the UK education system and curriculum.
