Job Advert: English Teacher - Romford

Are you passionate about teaching English and ready to inspire the next generation? Our lovely secondary school located in Romford is looking for a dedicated and dynamic English Teacher to join our team. We are open to applications from ECTs, unqualified teachers, and those with many years of experience.

About the Role:As an English Teacher, you will be teaching English to pupils across KS3 and KS4. Knowledge of the UK GCSE curriculum is essential. Our curriculum in Year 10 includes studying a Shakespeare play, a Dickens novella, a modern tragedy, and an anthology of poems. At the end of Year 10, the focus shifts to English Language, but Literature remains central, with regular revision of quotations, context, and key knowledge. In Year 11, students are equipped with skills for independent revision through cue cards and effective quizzing techniques.

This position is for a January 2025 start, and you will be paid in line with the Outer London Teachers Pay Scale.
