Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the History department, delivering high-quality teaching and learning across all key stages
  • Develop a stimulating, challenging, and inclusive History curriculum
  • Track student progress and use data effectively to enhance student achievement
  • Support, mentor, and lead a team of History teachers and department staff
  • Promote a love for History across the school through innovative teaching practices
  • Ensure the department meets national curriculum standards and exam board requirements
  • Collaborate with senior leadership on school-wide initiatives and strategies

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Hold QTS and have significant experience in teaching History
  • Be a passionate leader with a proven ability to inspire both students and colleagues
