Requirements

  • QTS/QTLS- this is essential
  • Experience teaching History at KS3 and KS4- this is essential
  • An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
  • Must Provide 2 recent professional references
  • Familiarity with the National Curriculum
  • Experience teaching History at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with a proven track record of student success

Responsibilities

  • Design,Plan and Prepare history lessons for KS3 and KS4
  • Use appropriate teaching and classroom management strategies to motivate Children and enable each to progress appropriately
  • Maintain appropriate records to demonstrate progress made by students
  • Engage in school-wide activities, attend department meetings, and pursue professional development
  • Provide guidance and support to help students achieve their academic and personal potential
  • Uphold high standards of behaviour management in accordance with school policies
