Requirements
- A relevant degree, along with a UK PGCE or Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), is mandatory.
- Eligibility to work in the UK is required.
- An enhanced DBS on the update service is a must.
- At least 3 months of teaching experience in the UK.
- Familiarity with the national curriculum is essential.
- A genuine passion for history and humanities education.
- Display confidence balanced with humility.
- Kind, compassionate, and considerate, with an awareness of international contexts.
Responsibilities
- Design and deliver well-organised lessons tailored to the various abilities of students and aligned with the curriculum.
- Utilise diverse teaching strategies and resources to engage all learners.
- Inspire enthusiasm for history and encourage students to reach their full potential.
- Provide meaningful feedback to support student learning and adjust teaching methods as needed.
- Analyse and interpret historical data to inform decisions and conclusions.
- Organise and maintain historical records, documents, and artefacts, ensuring their preservation and accessibility.
- Create educational and outreach initiatives to engage students and the public in the importance of history and the conservation of historical materials.
