TeacherActive are working closely with a secondary school in the Romford area who are looking for a Science teacher to join them with an ASAP start.

The school, which was rated ‘Good' following its latest inspection, has a pleasant and welcoming atmosphere. Pupils and staff are proud of their school. Leaders promote tolerance and community cohesion and make the most of the multicultural intake of the school.

This role is to start in September on a full-time basis and is a long-term contract. You would be teaching KS3 and KS4 classes and would expect the successful candidate to fulfil all aspects of the teaching role which includes: planning, marking, completing reports, data collections, duties, meetings and parents evenings.

The successful candidate must have:

  • A PGCE or equivalent UK teaching qualification that has awarded them QTS
  • A great team ethos and want to be part of a strong team environment
  • A strong passion and knowledge for the subject of science
  • The ability to plan, mark and deliver high quality lessons
  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management

Both newly qualified teachers (NQT) / Early careers teachers (ECT) and experienced teachers will be equally considered for this role.
