About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Science Teacher to join our dynamic team at a secondary school in Romford. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Science to KS3 and KS4 students, with a preference for those who can also teach A-level Physics. This role offers flexibility, with the potential to transition from temporary to permanent, long term cover, or a permanent position based on the candidate's suitability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective Science lessons to KS3 and KS4 students.
- Teach A-level Physics (preferred).
- Plan, prepare, and assess students' work to ensure high standards of learning and achievement.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement innovative teaching strategies.
- Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development opportunities.
Requirements:
- Must have teaching experience in the UK.
- Preferably hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or have over 3 years of experience teaching secondary Science.
- Strong knowledge of the Science curriculum for KS3 and KS4.
- Ability to teach A-level Physics is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and a passion for education.
