Experienced Learning Support Assistant - SEND Education - Stratford -

We are looking for experienced learning support assistants who are dedicated and passionate about supporting children with special educational needs. The school caters for children and young adults from 5-18 years old with varied SEND needs, such as Autism, SEMH, Severe learning difficulties and Speech and language communication difficulties.

Job Responsibilities

Your role as a Teaching Assistant will be to:

  • Support pupils on a 1:1 or group basis with their learning development and care needs while at school.
  • Experience working with children with special educational needs is not essential, but experience working within a school-based environment is critical, as you are required to have basic knowledge and understanding of supporting children within an educational setting.

Job Requirements:

  • Compliance to work
  • Possession of a child and adult DBS
  • Experience in Special Educational Needs (SEN) (not limited to a care background)
  • Availability for 5 days a week
  • Understanding that our students require consistency and the ability to refrain from taking holidays during term time
  • A high standard of professionalism
  • Ready to do personal care
  • Understands the need to work between our 4 sites.
