Our client is deeply committed to recruiting experienced social workers for roles in their New Safeguarding Teams. These teams will focus on Children in need casework (CIN), Children and families (domestic abuse), Child protection (CP)
Overview:
As a Senior Childrens Social Worker, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality services to children, young people, and their families. You will act as a lead professional, providing expert knowledge, guidance, and support to colleagues, while managing complex caseloads. This role requires a strong commitment to safeguarding, collaborative working, and improving outcomes for children and families.
Key Requirements:
Qualifications: A degree in Social Work and registration with Social Work England.
Experience: Significant post-qualification experience (2+ years), particularly in childrens services, and a proven ability to handle complex and high-risk cases.
Progress CIN / CP protection plans
Knowledge:
A thorough understanding of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures (e.g., Children Act 1989/2004, Working Together to Safeguard Children).
Strong grasp of child development, attachment theory, and the impact of trauma.
Skills:
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
Strong ability to manage competing demands and remain resilient under pressure.
