Seeking an experienced and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to work 1-1 with a Non-Verbal student in Year 4 of a Romford School and showing signs of Challenging Behaviour.

This SEN Teaching Assistant role would ideally suit somebody who is Team Teach trained and has experience of working with Behavioural Triggers and Traits.

SEN Teaching Assistant Role & Qualification:

  • To provide individualized support to a Non Verbal student and have an understanding of their learning pathway.
  • Experience or knowledge of working with PECS / Makaton or Flash Cards.
  • Able to effectively manage the student’s behaviour, social interaction with an understanding of triggers and traits.
  • To be patient and able to build a trusting relationship with the student supporting their daily needs and challenges.
  • Qualified with a relevant Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant certification and/or SEND care qualifications.

All successful candidates have access to training courses and ongoing support.
