SEN Teacher for ASD Class | All-Through SEN School | RomfordWe are seeking an excitable, energetic, and passionate SEN Teacher to join a well-established all-through SEN School in Romford. The role involves working with a class of 8 students aged 10-12, all with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and behavioural challenges. Some students are non-verbal, while others are high-functioning, requiring a creative and dynamic approach to teaching.Key Responsibilities:

  • Create a lively and nurturing environment that motivates and supports students with diverse needs.
  • Design and deliver engaging, individualised lesson plans in line with each student's EHCP.
  • Manage challenging behaviours with positivity and energy, using effective strategies.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and other support staff.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent is essential
  • Previous experience working with children with ASD and behavioural difficulties.
  • High energy, enthusiasm, and a genuine commitment to supporting SEND learners.
