Lecturer - Engineering

We are seeking a Lecturer in Engineering to join our client's Automotive & Engineering team. This role is ideal for individuals currently in the engineering industry or those already teaching who wish to impact the next generation of engineering experts. With our training and support, you can leverage your skills and experience in a rewarding educational environment.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Deliver Level 3 T-Levels in Maintenance and Installation, and Design and Development, covering core subjects such as Maths, Science, General Engineering, Electronics, and Mechatronics.
  • Specialise in project design and development, CAD, prototyping, and Electric vehicle technology.
  • Plan and develop lessons, including the creation of schemes of work.
  • Develop and implement learner-centred assessment methods focusing on constructive and developmental feedback.
  • Monitor and report on the attendance, progress, and achievements of students.
  • Ensure a safe working environment, enforcing health and safety standards.
  • Provide personal coaching and pastoral responsibilities for designated students to support their development and future progression.
  • Stay updated with industry developments to ensure the relevance and employability of our students.
  • Actively participate in professional development around theory and practice within the education sector.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Hold a teaching qualification with experience in the Further or Higher Education sectors, or,
  • Possess a Level 3 qualification relevant to the course and be prepared to undertake a Further Education teaching qualification with our support, or,
  • Have significant Engineering industry experience, be qualified to Level 3 in the subject, and be prepared to undertake a Further Education teaching qualification with our support.
  • Excellent administrative skills with the ability to accurately track students’ attendance, progress, and achievements.
