We are seeking a dedicated Lecturer in Production and Performing Arts and Employability to join our client's supportive and forward-thinking college. This role involves 36 hours per week, comprising 23 hours of teaching and 13 hours of desk duties, from Monday to Friday. The successful candidate will start as soon as possible.
Day-to-day of the role:- Deliver engaging and effective teaching sessions in BTECs for Performing and Production Arts across all levels.
- Prepare lesson plans and materials, assess student work, and provide constructive feedback.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.
- Participate in curriculum development activities and staff meetings.
- Support students’ learning needs and act as a mentor to promote their academic and professional growth.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching practices and contribute to the department’s goals.
- 2-5 years of experience teaching BTECs in Performing and Production Arts at all levels.
- Ideally, hold a recognised Teaching qualification (e.g., Certificate in Education or equivalent).
- Ideally, 2-5 years of recent industry experience in Performing/Production Arts.
- Experience working in a College/Further Education (FE) College setting.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to engage and inspire students from diverse backgrounds.
