Reporting to the Co-Founders, responsibilities will include:
- Develop and implement company strategy, including the implementation and preparation of rolling forecasts, budgets and long-range strategic plans.
- Structure the finance department for business growth, be able to identify new efficiencies and guide efforts towards improved reporting.
- Production of management accounts including journal postings, variance analysis and associated commentary.
- Work with external accountants and ensure statutory requirements are met.
- Support M&A activities through acquisition modelling, due diligence and integration support where necessary.
- Monitor and manage cash balances, cashflow forecasting and invoice discounting.
- Develop strategies to increase company profitability and value.
- Be a fully qualified Accountant holding ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification.
- Have experience of being in a hands on, leadership role within an SME environment.
- Feel comfortable implementing processes, controls and automation from scratch, enabling sustained business growth.
- Have experience of recruiting and managing a small team.
- Have extensive experience of influencing and challenging leadership teams, useful financial data to support arguments.
- Have experience of Xero - desirable, not essential.
