Company Overview:A leading shop-fitting contractor based near Romsey, Hampshire, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Contracts Manager to join their team. With a strong reputation for delivering high-quality refits, extensions, and major rollout projects across the UK, the company works with renowned retail, hospitality, leisure, and high street fashion brands on projects ranging from £50K to £4M.

About the Role:This opportunity is perfect for a seasoned Contracts Manager or a dual-role Contracts Manager/Quantity Surveyor with Fit-Out or Shopfitting experience. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will oversee multiple projects, ensuring successful delivery in terms of safety, timelines, budget, and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities of the Contracts Manager :

  • Manage and deliver Shopfitting and Fit-out projects across the UK (£50k - £4M).
  • Coordinate and attend pre-start meetings with Site Managers and clients.
  • Organise and manage project teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Collaborate with the H&S Manager to ensure compliance with health & safety regulations.
  • Develop construction phase plans and assemble H&S documentation.
  • Understand the scope of works and sub-contract packages; create and issue order schedules.
  • Develop and share project programmes with clients.
  • Conduct regular site meetings and monitor subcontractor performance.
  • Ensure quality standards and project objectives are consistently met.
  • Track project progress, manage variations, and report to the Managing Director.
  • Price jobs, manage project costs, and ensure financial control.
