Are you an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer looking for your next challenge? We have an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team, providing both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance at a cutting-edge research facility just outside Southampton.
Role Overview:
As an Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and reliable operation of this prestigious research facility. Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting routine PPM tasks on electrical systems and equipment to maintain optimal performance and compliance with safety standards.
- Diagnosing and resolving electrical faults promptly as part of reactive maintenance requirements.
- Collaborating with on-site teams to minimize downtime and support operational needs.
- Maintaining accurate records of all maintenance work carried out.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Electrical Maintenance Engineer, ideally within a research, industrial, or commercial environment.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including single-phase and three-phase systems.
- Recognized qualifications in electrical engineering (e.g., NVQ Level 3, 18th Edition, or equivalent).
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Desirable:
- Experience with building management systems (BMS) and specialist equipment in a research setting.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations in similar environments.
