We are seeking a dedicated Science Technician to join our dynamic team. This role is crucial in supporting the science department by preparing materials for experiments, maintaining equipment, and ensuring a safe laboratory environment. Ideal candidates will have a strong interest in science and a keen eye for detail.
Day-to-day of the role:- Prepare materials and equipment for science experiments and demonstrations.
- Assist teachers during practical science lessons and ensure that all experiments are carried out safely.
- Maintain and organise science laboratory equipment and chemicals.
- Conduct regular checks and routine maintenance of laboratory equipment.
- Ensure that all safety protocols are followed, including the proper disposal of chemicals.
- Support the science department with administrative tasks and inventory management.
- Experience working in a laboratory environment, preferably within an educational setting.
- Good organisational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow complex instructions.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a laboratory setting.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A qualification in a science-related field is preferred.
