CMA Recruitment Group are working exclusively with a growing SME who are in need for a new addition to their finance team. This is a newly created role to support the current Finance Assistant with revenue management and billing. Reporting into the Head of Finance this role will involve sales ledger management as well as providing opportunities to streamline processes and improve AR related reporting.What will the Finance Assistant role involve:

  • Ensure all customer invoices are generated and sent out in a timely manner.
  • Verify and post invoices in the accounting system, ensuring the accuracy of billing details.
  • Resolve any invoicing discrepancies promptly to maintain accurate financial records.
  • Reconcile customer accounts regularly to ensure all transactions are accurately recorded. Resolve any issues or discrepancies related to customer accounts efficiently.
  • Process customer refunds, adjustments, and credit notes as required.
  • Correctly and accurately record payments to customer accounts to reflect true account balances. Record cash receipts and reconcile daily cash receipts to the general ledger to ensure financial accuracy.
  • Prepare regular reports on accounts receivable status to provide accurate financial information.
  • Provide feedback and suggestions for the continuous improvement of systems and processes, where appropriate, to enhance efficiency.

Suitable candidate for the Finance Assistant role:

  • Strong communication skills as this role will involve a significant amount of external and internal communication
  • Strong attention to detail and good customer service skills
  • Some prior experience working within a finance department to ensure a basic understanding of sales ledger procedures
