Steel Fixer
Start Date - Monday 24th February 2025
£26 per hour CIS, £20 Per hour PAYE
Romsey, Hampshire
We are working on a large project in Romsey and we are looking for steel fixers to join the existing site team and see the project through to completion. Any applicants must have relevant experience, a formal steel fixing qualification and hold a valid blue CSCS Card.
As a Steel Fixer your duties will involve.
- Position and secure steel reinforcement bars or reinforcement steel mesh to reinforce concrete structures.
- Read and interpret reinforcement plans/drawings and reinforcement schedules.
- Set out the work from provided instructions.
- Cut and bend steel bars or mesh to the required length/shape using bolt cutters, guillotines, or power saws.
- Assemble reinforcing bars or mesh using the correct tying wire in predetermined locations prior to concrete pours.
You Must have
- CSCS Card/ NVQ Level 2
- Previous site experience
Standard Hours: Monday to Friday 7:30am - 5pm
