 I’m currently working with a leading Tier 1 contractor who is looking to add an experienced Environmental Advisor to their team in Inverness.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a company known for delivering high-profile infrastructure projects across Scotland, with a strong commitment to sustainability and environmental excellence.

About the Role:

You’ll be supporting major civil engineering and infrastructure projects, ensuring environmental best practices are implemented and maintained. This is a key role within the SHEQ team and offers real scope for development in a well-established business that truly values its people.

Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Providing advice and guidance on environmental issues to project teams and site staff

  • Supporting environmental compliance and reporting across multiple projects

  • Carrying out site inspections and audits

  • Assisting with environmental risk assessments and method statements

  • Liaising with regulators and external stakeholders as needed

  • Promoting sustainability and driving continuous improvement in environmental performance

What they’re looking for:

  • Previous experience in a similar role, ideally within the construction or infrastructure sector

  • Relevant degree or qualification in Environmental Science, Environmental Management or similar

  • Strong working knowledge of UK environmental legislation and regulatory requirements

  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive, hands-on approach

  • Full UK driving licence
