THE ROLE:
To operate as a key Finance figure and Business Partner for our Farming businesses.
Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will take the lead on all aspects of accounting and finance for your area, including reporting, cashflow forecasting, budgeting, analysis and decision support.
KEY SUCCESS CRITERIA:
Maintain accurate financial records throughout the year, maximising company cashflow and providing a high level of service provision to various internal and external stakeholders.
Building relationships with and working closely with your Accounts Assistant and other Operational Managers.
Production of clear monthly reports based on financial year and harvest or crop cycle, accompanied by insightful commentary on variance analysis compared to budget.
Report on both a cashflow and profitability basis of various entities within the group.
Review current financial processes, systems and controls and make suggestions for improvements and efficiencies.
Perform financial analysis to help manage the business and to aid key business decisions
Proactively help manage cost throughout the year
Working with the other business accountants to proactively strive for best practice and company risk mitigation.
Being a key figurehead for your area during the annual audit, working closely with the Financial Controller.
Ability to adapt and understand different financial systems and software packages.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
Solid technical accounting knowledge qualified or part-qualified ACA, CIMA, or ACCA.
OR qualified by experience with significant knowledge of the business area for which you are responsible.
Strong and up-to-date Microsoft Excel skills.
Agriculture/farming background is desirable.

One Accounts Assistant / Administrator.

Accountants and Admin team members.
Suppliers and Customers.
OTHER:
Salary up to £48,000 but flexible based on knowledge and experience.
