Tasks:

  • Performing daily bank reconciliations.
  • Handling corporate bank accounts.
  • Conducting weekly runs.
  • Creating and analysing management accounts.
  • Developing budgets and forecasts.
  • Overseeing payment processes and managing cash flow.
  • Liaising with financial institutions, contractors, vendors, accountants, and HMRC.
  • Preparing and submitting VAT returns.
  • Supervising existing procedures.
  • Supporting financial decision-making.
  • Conducting in-depth cost analysis.
  • Manage and support your Account Assistant.

Key skills

  • Proficiency in Xero is essential.
  • Experience with accounting and business management systems.
  • Experience in finance management is desirable.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Basic understanding of personal and corporate tax.
  • Team player with the ability to work collaboratively.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Ability to manage workload independently.
