We are looking for an experienced Credit Control/Sales Ledger Assistant to join a well-established, family-run business with a strong reputation for looking after its customers within its niche industry.

We’re looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Credit Controller to manage our sales ledger and ensure all customer accounts run smoothly, working closely with the internal sales department and building effective customer relationships for timely collection.

About the role:You’ll be responsible for maintaining the sales ledger, chasing outstanding payments, and building positive relationships with our customers. This is a key role in keeping our cash flow healthy and our operations steady.

Day-to-day duties include:

  • Managing and reconciling the sales ledger
  • Managing the company risk for new customers, monitor credit limits
  • Effectively manage the cashflow process and daily banking
  • Chasing overdue payments professionally and effectively via different channels
  • Handling account queries and resolving them promptly
  • Work closely with the internal sales department, provide accurate debtors information, customer management and timely collections
  • Complete variety of reconciliations across the function, including cash balances and sales reconciliations.
  • Supporting wider finance tasks and developing accounts knowledge

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience in credit control and sales ledger work
  • Confident communicator, comfortable chasing payments and customer focused
  • Good attention to detail and solid organisational skills
  • Possibly AAT studier who wants to develop wider accountancy knowledge
