Jobstore are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join one of our great clients in Rossendale.

The ideal candidate will have a background in operating CNC machinery and will be responsible for producing precision woodwork parts and components.

This role requires carpentry knowledge, great attention to detail, and the ability to work with various materials, including plastics.

The CNC Machinist will play a crucial role in ensuring that our production processes run smoothly and efficiently. You will be working 40 hours per week on a rotating shift of 06.00am- 4.00pm 08.00am-16.00pm and 14.00pm-22.00pm.

Responsibilities

  • Operate CNC cutting and saw machines to manufacture high-quality components.
  • Interpret technical drawings and CAD files to produce accurate parts.
  • Set up machines for production runs, including selecting appropriate tools and fixtures.
  • Perform routine maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance.
  • Use hand tools and power tools effectively for assembly and finishing tasks.
  • Conduct quality control checks on finished products to ensure they meet specifications.
  • Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and improve production processes.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a CNC Machinist or similar role.
  • Strong carpentry or joinery knowledge with the ability to understand technical drawings.
  • Able to operate 3-axis CNC nesting machine efficiently and accurately
  • Competence in using hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments.
  • Basic maths skills for precise measurements and calculations.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
