Rotherwood Education are looking to recruit a highly organised, flexible and enthusiastic Food Technology Technician to assist a forward-thinking Food Technology department in a Secondary school in the Haslingden area.

This position is set to start ASAP, and it is full-time and ongoing with the potential to extend until July.

The successful Food Technology Technician will:

  • Will assist students in cooking practicals, assist with washing up, prepping ingredients for the lessons and maintaining food safety and cleanliness within Food technology classrooms.

  • Have their Food Hygiene certificate and be able to follow Policies and Procedures to ensure safety and compliance within the department and be able to prepare materials for the workshop.

  • Ideally have previous experience in supporting Food Technology departments to KS3 and 4.

  • Provide details of last 2 latest references, covering the last 5 years’ work history.

  • Possess a current DBS check or be prepared to apply for one as part of your registration.

  • Be committed to the safeguarding of children and young people.

  • Be willing to complete a face-to-face registration and satisfy several checks.
