Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Electrically Biased Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and installing electrical systems and equipment across various sites. A strong understanding of electrical systems and compliance with current regulations is essential. This role requires a qualified individual who holds a CSCS Gold Card and the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on electrical systems and equipment.

Fault finding, diagnostics, and repair of electrical installations and machinery.

Installation and modification of new or existing electrical systems in accordance with industry standards.

Ensure all work complies with current IET Wiring Regulations (18th Edition).

Complete relevant documentation and maintenance reports accurately.

Adhere to company health & safety policies and ensure safe working practices on-site.

Collaborate with other engineers, contractors, and site managers as necessary.

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

CSCS Gold Card (Electrotechnical qualification route).

18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671).

NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent.

Proven experience in a similar role within the building services, construction, or facilities management sectors.

Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and electrical schematics.

Desirable (not essential) Skills:

Testing & Inspection (2391 or equivalent).

Experience with BMS systems and controls.

Familiarity with mechanical systems (basic understanding for interfacing tasks).

Good communication and team-working skills.
