Your new companyJoin an established manufacturing business in East Lancashire in this newly created role of Head of Finance, working onsite at their offices, reporting to the Finance Director, and leading the finance team.

Your new roleAs the Head of Finance, you will lead the financial operations, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial transactions and reporting. You will oversee the transactional finance team and commercial finance function, manage cash flow, and drive improvements in KPI reporting. Your role will involve maintaining and optimising ERP systems, developing financial policies, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. You will also be responsible for budgeting, forecasting, and providing detailed financial analysis to support strategic decision-making. Additionally, you will liaise with auditors, banks, lenders, and HMRC, and train staff in the effective use of the ERP system.

What you'll need to succeedTo be successful in this role, you will need to have a professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA, and you should have significant experience in a senior finance role within a manufacturing business, with expertise in standard costing and ERP system management. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent leadership abilities, and proficiency in financial reporting and KPI development are essential. You will enjoy nurturing a finance team, and driving financial performance. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, along with a proactive and innovative mindset, are also required.
