Overview:

Unify are thrilled to be recruiting for a SHEQ Manager to join an established Plant Hire company based in Lancashire.

The primary responsibility of the Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality Manager is to ensure the business remains compliant with legal requirements and meets its obligations under regulations established by governing authorities.

What do I need?

  • Previous experience as a SHEQ Manager within the Plant / Construction industry
  • Ability to cover multiple sites
  • Knowledge of ISO standards
  • NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA certified.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with industry guidelines, investigate incidents thoroughly, implement corrective actions, and drive a proactive safety culture.
  • Oversee the physical and mental welfare of staff, including workplace facilities, PPE, and regular H&S audits.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental standards, maintaining policies aligned with ISO14001:2015.
  • Uphold quality standards in accordance with company policies and ISO9001:2015 requirements.
  • Manage, review, and update SHEQ-related documents to comply with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Handle SHEQ documentation for supplier accreditations, pre-qualification questionnaires, and insurance requirements.
  • Conduct internal audits across all locations, manage external audits, and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Support the Managing Director and Senior Leadership Team to promote the safety, health, and welfare of all employees, fostering a positive and open safety culture throughout the organization.
