If so, you might be the perfect candidate for this interim role of school science technician at our education setting based in East Lancashire! Your new roleThis is a warm and welcoming school in the Rossendale area that is looking for a science technician to join their friendly and supportive science department for a maternity cover. You will work closely with the science teachers to prepare and maintain the equipment and materials for practical experiments and demonstrations. You will also assist in the health and safety management of the laboratories and ensure that all relevant policies and procedures are followed.What you'll need to succeed

  • A relevant vocational qualification in laboratory or science-related activities or equivalent experience
  • A good knowledge of scientific techniques, equipment and materials
  • A commitment to health and safety in schools
  • A strong commitment to supporting students' learning and achievement.
  • A flexible and proactive approach to work
  • A willingness to undertake further training and development as required.
