Company details and job overview:

Kenton Black Finance are recruiting on behalf of a company who are situated near Rossendale. This company have been operating for over 40 years and are proud to have many long-standing staff members, many approaching or having surpassed twenty years of service. They are currently recruiting for a permanent and part-time Accounts Assistant. You would work circa 24 hours per week and will have purchase ledger or sales ledger experience, or both.

Your new job as the Accounts Assistant:

Opening post and/or printing emailed invoices
Updating invoices received on Excel sheet
Filing purchase orders and delivery notes
Match invoices to corresponding purchase orders and delivery notes, identifying and resolving any discrepancies (approx 400 per month)
Producing sales invoices using Easy Quote knowledge an advantage but full training will be given if not. (approx 100 per month)
Processing internal stock transfers
Maintaining held invoice Excel list, liaising with suppliers & sales/warehouse staff when problems occur
Reconciling supplier statements resolving any outstanding queries
Preparing payment run.
Able to maintain regular and effective communication with internal and external staff and suppliers
Answering telephone, dealing with enquiries and directing calls to relevant staff
Assist with month-end and year-end financial closing processes
General accounts related admin duties

Experience and skills required to apply:

Experience in Sage Line 50 is preferred and experience essential in using MS Excel & Word
The ideal candidate must be an excellent written and verbal communicator, willing to learn and be able to use your own initiative whilst working in a busy accounts office

Salary and Reward on offer:

A salary of up to £16,161.60 (working 24 hours per week)
After 1 full year of service the company have a sick pay scheme of 2 weeks at full pay and 2 weeks at half pay which applies over a rolling 12 months
The company provide a workplace pension, which they contribute 3%
