Position Overview: We are currently seeking a meticulous Estimator to join our team in Dunfermline. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in estimating, a keen eye for detail, and excellent analytical skills. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of projects, collaborate with clients and colleagues, and contribute to the success of our business.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to prepare accurate cost estimates for metal fabrication and welding projects.
  • Evaluate materials, labor, and equipment requirements to determine project costs and profitability.
  • Collaborate with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to gather necessary information and clarify project requirements.
  • Prepare detailed and competitive bid proposals in a timely manner, ensuring alignment with client expectations and company standards.
  • Track and manage project costs throughout the lifecycle of each project, providing regular updates to stakeholders as needed.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an Estimator in the engineeringindustry, with a strong background in metal fabrication and welding.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills, with the ability to accurately estimate project costs and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, colleagues, and suppliers.
  • Proficiency in using estimating software and Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Excel, Word, Outlook).
