NRL is seeking a Product Quality Engineer for a well established company in the Fife area on a permanent staff basis.

Job Purpose

To provide quality support to the Dunfermline site. To support an environment where quality employees support maintaining and improving flow and create the required quality behaviour within those relationships. To create LEAN / continuous improvement thinking within the team.

Job Description:
  • Interface with owners of other value stream steps to identify themes and lead RCAs to eliminate caused/created gaps.
  • Developing existing systems capability - enhancing efficiency of workflow through improved system capability and automation and master data cleaniness.
  • Lead complex RCAs.
  • Support the process improvement programme in the engineering, manufacturing and production environment using established tools and systems available.
  • Support annual objectives and metrics for the quality function. Support and maintain performancemonitoring system and a plan to close department gaps.
Requirements:
  • Diploma qualification or equivalent work experience
  • Detailed understanding of manufacturing processes, operations and execution methods, data analysis techniques.
  • Process improvement and problem-solving techniques like Lean, six sigma, 8 disciplines, structured root cause analysis process.
  • Ability to own problems and work collaboratively across the organisation to arrive at solutions.
  • Effective communicator at all relevant levels of the organisation.
