Our client, a well-established accountancy practice in Rotherham, is seeking a Semi-Senior Accountant to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity to build on your existing skills and gain exposure to a diverse client portfolio while working within a collaborative and professional setting.



The Role

As a Semi-Senior Accountant, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality services to a broad range of clients. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Client Bookkeeping - Ensuring accurate and efficient records for a variety of clients.
  • Portfolio Management Support - Assisting with the management of a portfolio of clients across different industries.
  • Preparation of Financial Statements - Drafting basic company financial statements to meet statutory requirements.
  • Management Accounts - Preparing interim management accounts to support decision-making processes.
  • Tax Returns - Completing personal tax returns and partnership accounts/returns.
  • VAT Returns - Preparing quarterly VAT returns to ensure timely compliance.
  • Client Interaction - Potential to attend client meetings and liaise with directors and business owners.
  • Training Support - Assisting in the training and development of apprentices.


What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have relevant accountancy experience, within a practice environment.
  • Experience of using Sage50, Xero, Quickbooks and other packages would be advantageous
  • Be confident in their technical abilities and keen to develop their knowledge further.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Have a proactive attitude and a passion for delivering exceptional client service.
