Adept Resourcing group are proud to be working alongside a busy manufacturing company based in Rotherham. Together we are searching for a skilled and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join their finance team in Goldthorpe, Rotherham. This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive individual with experience in both purchase ledger and credit control.
Finance Assistant Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the purchase ledger process, ensuring invoices are correctly entered into the system and paid in a timely manner.
  • Reconcile supplier accounts, addressing any discrepancies in a professional and efficient manner.
  • Oversee credit control, chasing overdue payments and maintaining effective communication with clients to ensure smooth financial operations.
  • Prepare and process payment runs, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Assist in month-end processes and provide reports as required.
  • Liaise with suppliers and internal teams to resolve any purchase ledger or credit-related issues.
  • Provide all-round general support to the Finance Manager and wider administrative team.

Finance Assistant Key Requirements:

  • AAT Level 2 minimum or 3 plus years in a similar role.
  • Proven experience in purchase ledger and credit control.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
