Adept Resourcing group are proud to be working alongside a busy manufacturing company based in Rotherham. Together we are searching for a skilled and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join their finance team in Goldthorpe, Rotherham. This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive individual with experience in both purchase ledger and credit control.
Finance Assistant Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the purchase ledger process, ensuring invoices are correctly entered into the system and paid in a timely manner.
- Reconcile supplier accounts, addressing any discrepancies in a professional and efficient manner.
- Oversee credit control, chasing overdue payments and maintaining effective communication with clients to ensure smooth financial operations.
- Prepare and process payment runs, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Assist in month-end processes and provide reports as required.
- Liaise with suppliers and internal teams to resolve any purchase ledger or credit-related issues.
- Provide all-round general support to the Finance Manager and wider administrative team.
Finance Assistant Key Requirements:
- AAT Level 2 minimum or 3 plus years in a similar role.
- Proven experience in purchase ledger and credit control.
- Strong knowledge of accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
