Senior / Principal Civil Engineer- Substations

Think Recruitment are currently working with a forward thinking engineering company who, due to increased workload, have an exciting opportunity to join their Power Civils team as a Senior / Principal Civil Engineer.

This role involves working closely with other disciplines on various new-build substations, substation upgrades/extensions and other electrical infrastructure, e.g. onshore wind farms and solar farms, with the successful candidate ideally having experience of:

• Working within Electrical Transmission and Distribution sectors.
• Good understanding of CDM requirements.
• Good understanding of UK Environmental and Waste Management legislation and requirements.
• Good knowledge of National Grid's Transmission Procedures, in particular: TP106, TP135, TP137, TP141, TP153, TP184, TP188, TP219, TP221, TP235, TP241.
• Ability to supervise and mentor others.

Ideally Chartered with ICE/IStructE or working towards, although candidates commutable to the North West or East Midlands would be preferred for the right person our client are happy to consider Engineers across the UK working remotely, so for full details on this exciting opportunity please call or apply today.
