Civils Project Coordinator required for our client who are an active and thriving Civil Engineering Company!
We are looking for someone with 1-2 years experience in a support role, ideally with a Civil Engineering company, to work alongisde the Project Manager. You will be working on Civils and Highways contracts that extend nationwide, featuring small civils and similar.
This role is a great opportunity for someone keen to kickstart their career in Civil Engineering!
In this role, you will be:
- Responsible for supporting the Project Managers in their duties, such as ordering plant and materials, van hire, and crew management
- Preparing and achieving approval of Risk Assessments Method Statements (RAMS) and quality documentation for the client
- Communicating with clients to meet their requirements
- Supporting the Project Managers in managing financial budgets, recruitment, and site employees
- Planning and programming works
- Understanding construction drawings with the aid of the design departments
- Managing formwork and assets
Your main responsibilities as Project Coordinator are:
- Ensuring company safety and that Quality Objectives are upheld, so that you are able to develop an efficient, safe and effective team
- Supporting construction teams to ensure they conform to approved documents
- Supporting teams to develop strong communication skills, in an effort to achieve company goals and establish effective communication
- Building rapport with clients and stakeholders for mutual benefit
- Supporting individuals within the company to develop the necessary skills to perform their duties and responsibilities effectively, in support of the business
- Delivering profitable projects
- Upholding good work practices
- To be a helping-hand where necessary and provide leadership to associates
- Being instrumental in creating a highly motivated and successful team
The candidate we are looking for will have:
- Experience of a supporting role within civils, highways or groundworks
- Own vehicle and driving license
- A Civil Engineering background
- The drive to develop and enhance their own skills, whilst learning new skills
